About

Champion Fireworks was founded in 1980 when my grandfather Johnny Martinez placed a small 20x30 carnival tent on the corner of 107th Avenue & Fontainebleau in Miami, Florida. He had the idea of providing the local
neighborhood with sparklers to enjoy the New Year and Independence Day.
When he passed in the early 2000’s, his grandson John David (JD) Martinez continued his families tradition and is now serving South Florida with 15 locations and counting.
JD has earned the recognition of local news stations and media for his hard work and dedication to the community. JD is also a professional boxer who can relate to the name that inspired Champion Fireworks! Now being a staple in South Florida where you can not only support your local business, but where he promises you can get more bang for your buck!
